BOTOX

BOTOX / XEOMIN are purified proteins of the botulinum toxin Type A and are widely used as an injectable treatment to diminish and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Xeomin is unique in comparison to other neurotoxins because it is formulated by a double filtering process, eliminating unnecessary proteins, and containing the purest form of the active ingredient needed for treatment. When injected into the muscle, botulinum toxin Type A temporarily blocks the transmission of acetylcholine (Ach) from the neuron to the muscle, inhibiting muscle contraction and resulting in a diminished or absent muscle contraction. Inhibiting the action of the muscle, produces a wrinkle relaxation effect that presents as a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Treatment results will start to occur 2 – 7 days post injection. The full effect of the neurotoxin is achieved at 14 days with an average duration of 3 months.

The number of units varies per individual and areas of treatment. At Heart Aesthetics, Xeomin, the purest form of neurotoxin, will be used to provide the aesthetic treatment.

DERMAL FILLER

A DERMAL FILLER is an aesthetic gel form injectable composed of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin’s connective tissue and provides hydration, volume, and structural support. As facial aging evolves, volume loss intensifies as collagen, structural fat pads and bone diminish. A dermal filler can restore lost volume, soften static lines, enhance and define facial contours by creating structural support. Common treatment areas are tear troughs (under eyes), cheeks, lips, vertical lip lines, jawline, and chin.

Results are present immediately after the injection, but the achieved result occurs 2 – 4 weeks post treatment. Dependent on the dermal filler, duration varies with an average duration of 6 – 12 months.
